Todays exercise with Justin focused on compositon and the rule of thirds. We were asked to work with a triangle , square and circle to generate different situations by manipulating the camera angle. I feel this technique worked really well since I didn`t have to focus on the detail of characters. Focusing on shapes instead let me focus on the scene more and not stress over if the characters looked right or not. Overall , I feel this exercise helped me a lot and I feel my experiments were successful in terms of creating dynamic scenes.

Character Design Week 2 (13/1/16)
This week we were provided with the task of drawing characters with the techniques learned from week one . Since I missed week one and applied my own knowledge to the task , I feel as if this week I have improved greatly and learned a lot about body structure and shapes. I applied the newfound knowledge of keeping shapes consistant to Sephiroth and Buzz Lightyear to create some humerous and yet interesting results and I feel these results were much more successful in presentation than my first weeks drawings.
We were then tasked to create a variation of characters set within a theme , and my theme ended up to be vampires. My original designs were scrappy and bland ,however, after applying the knowledge I learned I feel as if my new and redone designs are much stronger and give more character.

Character Design Week 1
Experimenting with Different Body Shapes : Sephiroth
Transforming Sephiroth into these different body shapes was quite comical to do , especially the circlular shaped body at the bottom . Although I am comfortable drawing characters I found these challenging to do ,most likely because I`m used to drawing the same type of body over and over again so this would be a new challenge.
Transforming to Realism : Stitch
Transforming Stitch was difficult , this was because although he`s meant to be a dog , making his ears look like a dogs made him look like a rabbit and so it was difficult to get the balance. However, I knew I also wanted to make his alien form more sinister and sharper which is why his ears have changed shape to a dobermen shape as I wanted him to look as sinster as possible.
