Adobe Flash : Taste Animation

Today I was shown how to animate in Adobe Photoshop , and since I hadn`t finished my taste animation from previous lessons I wanted to try this technique and show my experimentation in my showreel.The taste I chose was a frozen yoghurt with strawberries which I wanted to represent by using smooth red and white lines showing the colour scheme and soft soothing texture of the dessert. I really enjoy Photoshop animation so far and I feel this is my favorite method of animation so far.

In flash we were required to create a variation of character designs based around the emotions and characters we acted out in the morning. I got quarrelsome and a toaster . (TBU)

My first thought when looking back at this is that I need more practice when it comes to weight , especially when it comes to the elastic joining the two balls. I feel as if I successfully created the bouncing motion ,but, I think next time I will need to exaggerate the elastic motion just so the sense of weight and motion is more visible.

Since being introduced to Flash today and being left to experiment with it I developed a walk cycle which I`m quite proud of . That being said , despite the appearance looking rough the movement is correct.

My first attempt at this form of animation , I`ve only ever done stop-motion animation before and so this was a nice change. I definitely prefer this method even though I found the speed control unreliable and was hard to control so it showed my work to a good quality.
